I have a ABIT BE6-II rev 1.2 with a flipchip 800eb.My question is....Why cant i get it to go any higher than 870? Under load the temp peaks at 106F so I didnt think that was the problem.Right now the Cpu voltage is at 1.70 and it does run just fine, but I was wondering if I could get just a bit more out of it.....Any ideas ??

your cpu should be safe as long as you dont go past 1.95v

try burning it in at stock speeds at 1.9 for a day or 2 then see how far you can get it at 1.7 if that's the voltage you wanna stick with

you prouble pretty close to the max of that cpu. the eb don't overclock very well because of there 133bus
min 533 is maxed out @ 620

running at 900mhz on a 800eb is feasible. keep your CPU as cool as possible.

I am running @900 with my 800EB. Stock HSF for a while, just got the Vantec and i am not greeted by Mr.BSOD anymore. Stock voltage ect, mine would only run at 840 for the longest time (about 2 weeks) but i was burning in the whole time and when i tried for 900 it went no probs.

Check the database, i think some are at a 1000mhz with it.
It isnt the chip that overclocks less. Its the fact that you need memory to go to 166mhz + to get a decent overclock.Unfortunately a lot of memory doesnt, and the pci bus wouldnt thank you for it either.
Just make sure you have some decent memory.
