I have an IWILL VD 133 mobo. It supports 133 MHz FSB and more. Currently I have my processor running at 620 MHz by changing the bus speed from 100 to 124, the highest onei can go to. Now, i ahve tried to change th FSB to 133 and it hangs. Does this mean i need more cooling or set the vcore higher or vio? Please help!

If your CPU is a 500 katmai it's gonna be tough, if it's a 500E it might be possible. It's always a combo of more voltage, better cooling and the quality of your ram.

How could i find out if its katmia or E? I always thought E meant it was 133 MHz FSB compatible. And what is the difference between katmai and E.
If the default vcore voltage is 2.0 then its a katmai.
If its 1.6 then is a E or coppermine.
E=100fsb EB =133.
No intel 500mhz cpu's are 133fsb.

I knew it couldnt be 133. I was not sure because i got my mobo in like november of 99 and i knew mobos were supporting 133 but i didnt think a processor was 133 FSB yet. Thanks
