I read all the CPU database under my specs which are P3 500 Katmai processor. I see many people getting to 667 under 133 FSB. I can only get to 620MHz, 124 MHz FSB. I set my FSB to 133 and change the vcore to 5% increase. My computer starts up and right when i get to the windows start up screen it hangs. At times the start up screen is cut in half. Is this due to poor ram? I read about quality ram being a big issue and i thought i had quality ram ..Toshiba. Sorry if im asking such a broad question but its irritating me seeing a lot of people getting to 133 FSB. Some i cant understand how they are getting to 700 when that requires a 140 FSB? My board supports up to 150 but wouldnt the ram get damaged or any other components?? PLease help cause the database isnt helping me much now that i want to go higher.
124fsb is not bad for that cpu.
If you have a older agp video card on a bx chipset board that might be the problem.
Make sure the agp bus is set to 2/3 or 1.5
Toshiba dosent say alot about your ram.
Get SiSoft Sandra and it will tell you the speed rating of it. If your running at a timing of 2-2-2 now try setting it to 3-3-3.
Try upping the voltage to 10% but as a last resort as your cpu temperatures will also go up perhaps too much.

what kind of heatsink and fan you got on that cpu. If you have the retail, then scrap it and get a better one. The higher voltage may help, but make sure you have a heatsink that can handle the increased heat. You are doing very well so far, hope you can get it that extra 9mhz on the bus.
