overclocking a kt7a i think its a v1.3

hi all

im new here and new to overclocking, i have a 1.4 cpu and a kt7a board how do i overclock, i also have an xp2400 cpu which i was told would work on the board as its a 266mhz board and chip but when installed the cpu only shows as a 1900 any suggestion on both counts would be most grateful and useful
