I have a few stupid questions:
1. Can I stop my winFAH client, install the FAHconsole in the old FAH directory and start fahconsole WITHOUT LOSING THE CURRENT WU? (and remove winfah from startup and add fahconsole, of course)
2. How much faster is the fahconsole (approx%)?
3. Does winFAH enable SSE by default? (P4's)
4. Why dont my stats on
OCteams page (http://folding.octeams.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Includestats&file=index&POSTNUKESID=f382af6eecfbf07f1f7a8f319dce06a1) (Dad, ~ #635) match the Stanford page (http://folding.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/userpage?q=Dad) ?
Thanks

The octeams page is very outdated.
Dunno about your other question.

Yes. Install FAHconsole in the same directory and just run it.

Not 100% sure on the % but I know it's a lot more faster compare to the non-tweaked winFAH client or even tweaked.
3. Does winFAH enable SSE by default? (P4's)
Not sure...

You may or may not lose your wu.
I use this stats site when extreme's is down or updating

1. Yes, just run the console from within the winfah directory. To add flags though (which you should) you want to make a shortcut of the console.exe and add the -advmethods to the end of the target line, so it would like something like this:
"C:\Program Files\FAH1\FAH3Console.exe" -advmethods
2. The GUI version is just as fast as the console when the GUI is minimized. Less issues with the console though.
3 Yes, but, for SSE you need Gromacs core, to request gromacs you must use the flag in answer #1. With the tinker core (core_65) no sse and it will be soooooooo slow on a Pentium. Core_78 is the gromacs core, just look in taskmanager to see which core you have.
4. I dont think anyone even looks at those stats... some good ones are:

Thanks everybody!
I'll switch my machines over to the console version as they start new wu (just in case). I'll also add the -advmethods switch.
Then I'll borg my mother in laws 'puter and try linux on my xbox...
