Hello!
Has anybody here used a mainboard based on Via's PT880 chipset for a P4 system? It supports hyperthreading and dual channel memory, and recent reviews (one here and a second one here) have shown it to perform reasonably well in comparison with the i875p chipset, particularly in memory performance. That's not too bad, considering the MSI PT880 board can be had for $62 on newegg, as opposed to $120 and up for 875p boards.
Has anybody here had tried one of these boards? What were your experiences? Particularly, has anybody tried the MSI PT880 Neo-LSR board?
Thanks! -- Paul
