I currently have a Celery 600@900. Would it be worth upgrading to a PIII 650@866?

If you can get the P3 cheap, I guess it sure would be a noticeable upgrade. You'll be going from 100 to 133FSB and the L2 cache not only goes from 128 to 256k but is also much faster compared to a Celeron's.

If you use your computer for business applications, than don't hesitate to get that P3. But if you mostly play games than upgrade your video card instead.
I don't think it would be worth upgradingm, the c600@900 will be about as fast as a 700-750mhz p3 so the 866 will only be about15-20% faster which is not much of an upgrade, other areas of the system would benefit more from an upgrade than this, also you would need to make sure that you had pc133 ram which it is likely you have or at least could run at (I have never had a problem getting pc100 to 133 but usually you have to drop from cas 2 to case 3 which makes them alsmost the same speed so any memory bandwidth gains are lost.
