View Full Version : Looking for answer to bios chipset overclocking

I have a p3 600e curently running at 840mz have 512MB of pc 133 ram.
when i run FSB at 150 my DFI board cmos resets it self to 75mhz.
is there any way to tweek it to 150FSB

someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe DFI has a fault check built in that if it can't boot, it auto resets all defaults.

To me this would mean your computer wouldnt' boot at 150 even w/o the fault intolerant check, but the board just recognizes that and resets.

Don't believe there's a workaround tho.

this a common thing, my bx board with a celeron 600 will go to a 66mhz fsb when I set a 133mhz fsb in the bios, where as with my p2 233 it would run at that speed, you could try forcing it with softfsb but it sounds like it wouldn't work

Hey Phill, You ran your cpu at 2x133?
I'll bet it smokes any other PII of that genre, that way.
My AMD K5 133 ran at 33mhz fsb, and I ran it at 3x50, and it screamed (for it's day)

No I actually ran it at 3x133 for a while until I messed up my cooling setup, then I settle for 2.5x133 for a nice 333mhz, I even managed 2.5x140 before I messed up the cooling
