Hyperthreading question

Hi,
Most games are not written for multithread PCs but when I’m playing
Games online (BF1942) with antivirus, firewalls and a USB modem will
hyperthreading enabled make any difference the game speed

I think it does in benchmarks and you can gain like 2% with it off. I leave it on no matter what im doing.

The more different processes going on at one time, the better the chances for HT to make a positive difference. So, HT will not help much when you're running two 3D games, but it may when you run 1 3D game and 1 voice comm software.
