i use a slocket that has fsb settings on it, but also my mother board has fsb settings. the slocket also has an auto setting. should I set the mobo settings or slocket, or slocket to auto???

I'd personally set FSB via mobo.
Setting the FSB on the slotket only tells the MB what the "default" FSB of the chip is- (celeron, "e" or "eb") so it's kind of limited in setting FSB unless you want a straight bus speed.
it makes little differance as long as you remember to set the agp divider to the correct setting for what ever fsb you use if you set the fsb on the motherboard

If you're running a CellyII and wanna ensure 100% stability at 100FSB+, then use the Slocket, as well as the mobo.
I did after a few stability problems, but swapping to an earlier BIOS Rev proved the best aid to my stabilty.
