Hi everyone. I'm really interested in useing some kind of extra cooling method for my ATI 9700 pro. I know some people replace the heat sinks with copper ones and use different methods to cool the gpu. So what i'm asking is if anyone here could share what they have done to cool there card down for overclocking it?

Right now I have managed to push my core speed from 324.00(stock) to 366.00 and memory from 308.00 to 325.80. So far no artifacts or freezes.

So is 366/325 your max? If it isnt see how far you can go until going into further modifications.

I have mine running perfectly stable at 390/350 with a single slot fan under it. Before the fan I was around where you are.

I just got a refurbed 9700pro for $150 off of newegg and ran into the same issue. The stock cooling is trash. However, I bought an Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer, and some OCZ copper ramsinks for it and had much much better luck. Here's a forum link about the product -Linky- (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=268567).

I went from having cooling issues with the core/mem @ 350/330 to running 380/350 totally stable without artifacts. Once the arctic silver 5 cures for a while I probably will be able to get more out of the core.

Hope this helps.
