I'm thinking of getting a Kingwin Thermal Center, and I'd like to hook up the fan on my NB (a Copper Vantec Iceburq) in a way that the speed is gauged by the temperature of the chip... The problem is that, while it seems that I can set the temperature ranges for each fan, I have no clue exactly what temps constitute errors and FSB limits...

What temps are not safe? and at what point is it too hot?

since your nb fan has lights its unlikely that you can control its rpms, but only how bright the light is, next the nb rarely gets hot enough to need better cooling. I suggest just playing around with your temps, try 50C

and i'm a little scared to "play around" w/ temps, since i'm planning on doing a volt mod that'll make it a lot hotter than usual...

I saw a version of that cooler at newegg that had the lights.
