I installed an extra floppy drive. A new CD-rw and for some odd reason my floppys lights stay on all the time now and they do not work. I have a custom built computer. mobo is a Asust ek computer inc. p2-99 Rev 1 xx
Bus Clock at 100 megahertz
Bios: Award software, inc ASUS 92-99 ACPI Bios Revision 1011A
128 meg installed memory (I KNOW I NEED MORE) I was looking around in the bios and may have got something changed. I tried loading the default bios setup. Did not help.
IF U NEED MORE INFO LET ME KNOW. THANX

Most likely you've got the ribbon cable in backwards on the drive. Easy to do as the floppy drive isn't keyed. Simply flip it around. On my drive the red colored conductor (before rounded cables) on the cable goes towards the MB.
And WELCOME TO THE O/C FORUMS :D

Simple, happens all the time!
Turn the ribbon cable around on the drive. For some reason, some need the stripe on the left, and some need it on the right. Crazy people anyway!
Missed it by that much
And yes, Welcome to the forums!
