I have a c600@1066 1.9v, retail hsf. Will do 1100 only at 2.1v so far. I'm having problems with my dvd decoder running at 39 and 40mhz pci. I want to buy a new vid card with tv-out to work around this problem and new hd to replace my old quantum.
Questions:
1.) Which geforce2mx cards are not overclock friendly?
2.) Has anybody had problems with Maxtors and Seagates at 39-40mhz pci?
Most of the GeForce II vid cards handle quite a bit of overclocking. I've had great luck with my Hercules Prophet II. I'm buying a couple of harddrives very soon for my RAID setup. I decided on twin IBM 30 gig ATA100 7,200 rpm harddrives. The 20 gig 7,200 rpm drives are equally as good, or so I've been told and from the reviews I've read.

Yup. GeF2 cards are the most oc stable I've run across. I've out of curiosity had'em running @ 100 MHz AGP without a hiccup. I like the Maxtor Diamond 40+ 30.7 Gb 7200 rpm ATA 66 that I'm running right now, though I have heard some folks having probs with raid set-up.

I think many GF2 MX's dont even come with a fan on then, just a heatsink. You will probably want to slap a fan on it if you want to do overclocking with it.
