Dude I ordered mine 2 days before you did!!! lol man that sucks!!!

(In this thread (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=268653) I wrote that I ordered mine on 2-6....you asked questions that day and the next and chimed in on 2-8 saying you ordered yours)

Congrats though :) I'll be enjoying mine when it ships out Feb. 27th. Let us know how the install goes when you get it going and post some results :attn:

Sweet!!

Are you talking about just plugged up to the wall and rigged to work without being hooked up to the computer? Or do you have everything hooked up and it's -45 C on idle?

i just plugged it in the wall, hooked it to a rigged PSU, and it came right on and the green led went down to -45

im still waiting on my lian li from exoide but its been shipped and should be here soon.

I've been modding my PC-60 for the past few days. I received it last week and immediately started brainstorming what to cut lol. So far here's what I've got done to it:

1. Cut a 120mm hole in top for blowhole
2. Took the stock 80mm fan (used to be where the 120mm blowhole is) and installed it in the rear of the computer directly below the 80mm fan that's already there. I really don't know why they don't come like this because it looks sweet and airflow is improved.
3. Cut a semicircle cut-out for the Prometeia hose (tried to duplicate the exact same cut that you get when you order a pre-modded Lian-Li)
4. Cut a hole in the removable motherboard tray so that I can have access to rear of motherboard (for installing Prometeia) without removing the mobo from the tray

I'm still thinking.....trying to make all the cuts before I install anything.

Oh, BTW, how do you rig a PSU to hook up a Prometeia to it like you did?

#4 sounds like a great idea to do since it comes with a heating coil for there.
the psu can be made to come on by hooking a wire to the green and a black 14 and 17 and then i just plugged it in.
and frost got on the cooling block. i cant wait to use this thing.
it is amazing. it has sunon fans in it also. very quality made.

I set up my Mach I a couple of weeks back. It arrived at like 5pm, and I hadn't started any modding/preparations yet. It was almost midnight before I was booting it up. Modding the bottom of my tower was definately the most time consuming part. Cutting the slot for the thermal bus wasn't as difficult as carefully measuring and making the 6 holes in the bottom of the case for the bolts connect the unit. The unit is also not quite as wide as my case, so I tried to give it the best balance I could. One recommendation I would make is to go buy some big ass washers. I used some of the material i cut oult of my case as a washer for the bolt that is closest to the hose slot. They give you some decent sized washers but with as tall as your case becomes custom washers seem like a good idea.

Thanks for the tip about the washers. I think I'm gonna go pick some up after reading that.

Also, rhino56, thanks for the how-to on rigging the PSU. I'll do that when my Prommy comes in to see if it's not (god forbid) DOA.

Hello my fellow OC friends..

I just boot it my new Mach I... (3:00 am)

I am so pleased the darn thing booted without any "serious" issues.

I am running the AMD 2700+ at 210x11 which were my stock air cooled speed/ Ram needs to be updated/ need another Maxtor to make it Raid/and could probably use a second job to pay for all this. lol

Have not gotten the chance to do much counting is 3:00am here..
Need to go to sleed now. took me 4 hours to swap everything form my old rig to this one...

Here are a few notes from me doing this last night:

- Preacher's bios can not see the temps, but MBM5 does..
- Current temps per MBM is at -14C, but I tested it by itself it showed -45C. Does the CPU take that much out of the system?

-What other mods are there for me to do? I have read the
R404? gase swap along with other types..

- I attached the heater to the back of the board (7N400 Pro).
No screws to used just pure presure and the sticky strip to use.

** The instructions did not asked to use any dielectric grease ( for the connection pins under the CPU. I am thinking about taking it appart and add the grease.**

- I did cut a blow hole on top albeit only 92mm Fan was used.
and installed the 80mm fan in the back of the case.

- I did not dup a hole in the back of the tray.. did not need it since I installed the back plate while mobo was outside.

- I am thinking of what to do with the CD-Rom front face. I will probably adapt the orig. cover plate instead of buying one.

Thanks

Daniel

I stealthed my Lian-Li PC-60 last night also. Granted, at this time I only have one Lite-On CD-RW drive, but I stealthed it and it went perfectly. Tested the drive out by hooking it up to my roomate's PSU.
