I posted yesterday my celeron was not 100% stable at 1.95v at 1007mhz.
Now im at 1020mhz at 2.0v and it seems stable to me in windows. No crashes so far. I havn't played any games but we will see.
Is 2.0V overkill? Could 2Volts damage the cpu? Its a cC0 so a .3 increase should not be that bad right? Need some info thanks.
Temps never go about 45c *Thats after game playing* Its got an Alpha/66

Some will disagree but IMHO with proper cooling 2v is fine. I've run my Celly with up to 2.05v and it's default is 1.50v. Again it is just me, but I would work to lower that load temp. I never allow mine to go as far as 40c. What kinda case cooling ya got?
(very nice oc by the way :) )

I've got 2 other case fans 80mm each. I also keep the side of the case off.
The temp as I type is 26c, and Im on the net, icq and playing an MP3.

it is sort or safe... you should be ok for a few years, but dont expect to see years 6 and 7 when running at that voltage...

so what i am saying is, if you cant crash it because it is clocked to high, and you can get the temps to go to high, then stick with it.

Now i have to ask, will you even be using that chip in 3 years? 2 years? or is it just a filler chip till you get a new system cause a celeron is cheap?

Its actually a filler chip until I can afford an Athy 1.2+ gig chip to OC =).

2v is what I would say is the absolute limit with good air cooling, of course running out of spec always has it's risks this should be pretty safe, though if running at 1.9 or 1.95v only means a small reduction in clock speed then I would certainly recomend that over 2v

With the Alpha on there instead of the Gorb, 2.0v is feasable. Wouldn't go any higher, though. Glad to hear you put the Alpha on.

Let it run for a while there, and make sure it's 100% stable. Given a chance to burn in at these settings, you might be able to reduce the vcore a bit in the future. For now, let it ride!! Glad to hear another Celeron has climbed Mount Gigahertz!

Well done!!

With the PEP66, 2.0V shouldn't really harm it too much. I'd keep an eagle-eye on temps tho. Check out my sig for the avg temp of my c566 @ 1003 (actually 28*C at the mo)

You're running a tad too hot at 45 degrees. At 2.0v there isn't much margin for error. I'd do some more cooling mods before running it at 2.0v for the long term. Most Celerons start getting a little unstable at mid 40 temps and you said you haven't even pushed it hard with 3D games yet.
