ATI Radeon 9800 pro from newegg

Hey guys, I just placed my order at new egg for an ATI 9800 pro card for $215.00. I thought this was a good deal. Quick question though, its says bulk, what does this mean? Does it still have a warranty through ATI?

"Bulk" means it's missing the retail box (obviously useless) and the bundled games (Sapphire bundles RTCW and SoF II).

Bulk means that it come in a white box. It will be just the bare card. Missing the manual, CD, DVI adaptor and any other software.

You must be wrong, bulk might be w/out manual but it always comes with drivers. And btw if you'll look at the pictures and in description newegg says & shows that it comes with 4 Cables, VGA via DVI Adapter, PowerDVD, Driver CD. So turns out to be almost the same as retail only w/out games and the fancy retail box (which is useless anyway).

That's right it's pretty much the same as OEM. Like my 9500pro which came with all cables and drivers, just no box or games. BTW let us know how it OCs :)

SOOOOOOOO TEMPTING!!!!!!! I've been telling myself that I would just stick with my Ti4600 until PCIe was standard, both Intel & AMD had 64 bit chips out and 64 bit windows was stable...Basically, a year at best. But this price is practically wooing the money out of my wallet.

LOL, was thinking the same here :D, but after seein'g the article (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=270979) about release of new ATi cards with PCIe support, I think I'll wait a little more & because my good old GF3 TI500 can still play all the latest games, so your TI 4600 would do even better! (might not be the "greatest" quality, but still...) ;)

it would get your arse waxed in desert combat or bf1942.... i gave away my ge3 when q3 came out...slowwww

hmm sorry to dissapoint u ive got an old Ti200 around here and it plays BF1942 just fine and so does the geforce2 mx400 in a P4 system that ive got around here

I ordered the Retail boxed version because it was only a couple of bucks more, comes with some games and has a longer warrenty. Anyone want a softmod'd 9500 to 9700...LoL. Dam NewEgg anyway...cheap prices and free shipping...stupid internet:-/

I used to think my GeForce3 was fast also until I couldnt play Halo or AA worth a dam with it. The difference is like trying to run a newer game like AA or Homeworld2 at 1280 x 960 with the Ti500 then play the same game on a new Radeon....not even close.

On 2 or 3 year old games like Quake2-3 a Ti500 is still good though, I let my daughter play sponge bob square pants on her hand-me down Athlon 850 slot A rig with the Ti500. LoL poor card probably thinks its in video card hell :D

i had a gainward ti4400 that was real fast........before that a ti500...then ge2...so I know...but at my settings the ge3 would choke...6x AA and 16xAF not that it even could....my point is in game visual clarity is immensly different without out said filters...smoothness with sharp visuals = long range .....i never said you couldnt run it...said it would get you waxed....but i could be wrong.....what settings you running dc on? .......game visuals?
