Gonna cool the southbridge

Well, my sound is starting to sound like crap. I touched the southbridge and it was extremely hot . So what I was thinking was to get a new heatsink and fan for my video card, this one:

and use the old heatsink and fan for my southbridge. What do ya think?

Well I have passive cooling on my SB and no sound problems. If you put a active cooler I'm 99.9% certain it will help. Now as to weather or not your stock vga cooler will fit is another question.
