celeron 566@850+

some one help me
i had celeron 566@700 for few months and today i tried to overclock to 850+
after overclocking i checked my 3dmark2001 scores and WTF
im getting
566 - 917
566@708 - 1024
566@852 - 1070
566@876 - 1079

i have 128 pc 133 ram
abit bx6rev2
geforce 32mb sdr

i have latest detonator driver and directx8
and the 3dmakr2001 was running 1024-768 resolution

Doesn't seem all too bad - 3DMark2001 is awfully hard on systems and basically runs for crap unless you have the latest, greatest video hardware. And since 3DMark doesn't measure CPU speed anymore, any gains you are seeing by OCing that Celly of yours is probably from the additional FSB bandwidth you are gaining. And since an old SDR GeForce certainly isn't on the level of most GeForce2 cards, you probably can't come to expect too much of it with this test. Your card was built in the era of 3DMark2000, so this is probably a better measure of how your computer is improving as you overclock.

Those scores are about right...

My rig has a P/// 600E @ 954, 256 MB PC 133, and a Geforce2 MX.

I recall getting scores in the 2000 range. Got over 5K in 3DMark 2K.

3D Mark 2001 is mujch more intensive than 2K, hence the lower scores. My rig flew thru 2K, but 2001 brought it to it's knees.

I have only c566@850 :( My 3Dmark2001 score is about 2157@1024-768; I think that just ok.
I use GeForce2 Ultra@269-492<==that is perfect position: not too hot not too slow. I made a little change on cooling memory too.

Is that true that Piii can do better score than Cii.
Ex. I saw Piii500 did score about 2600+ and my Cii 566@850 at 2400+

I think about getting P3 700 to OC soon and I hope it will help a little more on 3Dmark2001 score.

To do well in 3Dmark2001, you have to be running the best video cards available. At least an Ultra, if not a GF3.

I agree completely. I was able to score above 2000 on 3d2k and on 2001 I think my score was less than 1000. That is on a p3 405@504 with a rage fury 32mb. The test is really brutal.

3d2k is the way to go for most people becuase if you don't have a $300+ video card than your scores will suck

With V3 3000 on Abit BE6. As you can see cpu does matter for 3D mark20001.

I used to run 3dmark2001 w/ GF2 Ultra+Detonator 3 v6.50 and my score was 2157@1024-768.

This week, I got a new Detonator v12.40 driver and I ran it with the same setting again on 3dmark2001. I got 2724!!!

today i got pc133 256 memory from work to get my celeron 566@850 to get higher. i tried 112fsb with 1.80 volts but i get a window logo then stops
so i tried restarting but now im getting stupid registry checks so once agin i restarted my com but now im getting blank screen after windows logo appears.
i have geforce 256 32sdr pc133 256
abit bx6 rev1 cCo celeron 566
4 casefans, 2 3dfx cool, gorb
my mobo dont have cpu temp thinggy so i dont know how hot it is
do u guys think i should get better cooling? will that help me to reach near 1gh?

Dumb question but...
What are your memory timings and speeds? I was getting registry errors running memory at fsb+33 CAS2 and they went away at FSB only. You might want to check this before doing anything drastic.
