I own an AMD A64 3000+ and GB K8NPRO motherboard.

I have 3 different brands of memory that I could get.

Patriot PC3500 Low Latency rated 2-2-2-6 2x512mb pack

OCZ PC3200 Ltd Edition Bh6 2-2-2-6 2x512mb pack

Mushkin PC3200 'Special' Bh6 2-2-2-6 2x512mb pack

Mushkin being the dearest, Patriot being roughly £40-50 cheaper than both OCZ/ Mushkin.

I may go for the Patriot and then if its carp send it back and get OCZ/ Mushkin (depending which one is in stock :))

Ta.

I know this is OT mate. But I'm from Northants too!

Where abouts are you based?

I think I'll give the Patriot a whirl, and if I'm not happy with them I'll return them under guarentee and pickup the OCZ stuff.

Brings to mind a disturbing test of Athlon64 MB/RAM combos over at Toms Hardware Guide:

http://www6.tomshardware.com/motherboard/20040112/index.html

"Only three out of ten boards ran perfectly with all their equipment."

Anyway. I bougt new system online where they test memory and cpu on the mainboard before shipping. I was not wanting to try various combos myself and be shipping stuff back.

Ended up with A64 3000+, ASUS K8V, 1 GB Corsair 1024-3200CPT XMS and it works perfectly in all simulations and applications!
