You don't. It's an error, either in you readin or in the program. You'd need a Prometia on a 9800xt, 60 volts, and about 14 miracles to get a six-figure score in 3dmark.

first of all if you look at all of the pictures he posts he has around 1100 frames in 38 seconds... or roughly 29fps. If you look at his second score every single piece is nearly double that. So bascially just one little piece of data from his first score which was = to high 6000, the lowest frame rate in the one that he scores 10k in was more than double that! That tells me that somehow he must have ran it at different settings, possibly different resolution. Because if he had over double the fps and the 3dmark03 settings were the same then his score would be more than 10k it would be like 14k.

In 3dmark01 you can raise your score by changing the resolution also and often times that can cause the fps to be very fast in comparison with the higher resolution... but in most cases even if a lower resolution doubles the fps, it will not double the score; however, if you double the fps at the first resolution it will give a much larger boost in score. So 7000-10000 is around 3000 a difference, if he really could double his fps all of a sudden and ran the resolution your supposed to run his score would be way off the charts, more than 10000. 10000 3dmark03 at respectable settings won't happen on a 9800, maybe with some serious modding and a cooling system that costs more than my car=/

In other words his 10000 score can't possibly be taken with the same resolution and settings as the first. Maybe he owns a copy of 3dmark03 which allows you to change some of the settings?

Well there's a way to cheat the UT2003 benchmark and get >200fps on the highest settings with AA/AF. Just hit escape as soon as the test starts :p As for 3dmark'03 I'm not sure.

welll all i'm really saying is that he is lying in the first place. Even my fx5200 gets around 1000 frames done in 10 seconds... and the screenshots he posts it took his computer 38 seconds to do 1100 frames..... somethings not right. Theres no way he could get a 6000 if he was getting 29fps in the first test.

if you change the resolution you can get 10k or higher easily, 640x480(i think is the lowest) I got like 12k or so with my rig and nothing is overclocked, either he did that or just did some photoshop. there is no possible way a stock system can get that high. You would need a promy, tons of volts and lots of luck. If you look at all these guys with 9800 xt's ocd with promitia with athlon fx's at like 2.8 or 3.0 ghz something like that they get around that.

ok, i just checked futuremark's website and nobody has got 10k yet, not even a 4.2 ghz P4 with a ATI Radeon 9800 XT at 657 MHz / 456 MHz can do 10k. It got 9730. So there ya go proof that the guy you are talking is a moron
