Video Editing /Dual Systems

My friend is asking if I can build a multiprocessor system for him for video editing that would cost less than a powermac733. Haven't had any experience with multiprocs or video editing. Anyboy have any clue?

Nope, but I would seriously consider a dual head video card for that with two monitors, one showing control functions/commands of the editing functions and one for watching the video.

You might want to have a look at Radified (http://radified.com/index2.html).

You could probably drop the price a bit by using large IDE RAID arrays for storage but you will probably want SCSI for boot and applications.
