I have a p2-450 never been OC'd running on a BX6 rev 2.0 board. How high can I get this sucker and what settings should i use? If you have experience with this board/cpu please help! thanks.

Im not a owner of BX6 based mobo. I think Anvil owns BX6 rev2, but I donno where he is.. maybe sleeping. but anyways, have you tried to get in the BIOS?.. Get in the BIOS and look for "User Define" in the clock frequency setting. By default, the clock multiplier and its bus speed is already set at 4.5 x 100 I think.. Increase the bus speed to whatever the next step it takes you. Just bump one up and save the setting and reboot.. If it works with no problems, then go back in the BIOS and Up the bus again until your system gets unstable. Then up the V core voltage by a notch as it needs it. This will help allow to load windows and run programs stable. Take your computer case off for the time being as you may need more cooling. Just dont up the bus too much because I assume you dont have a nice HSF on your CPU. Gid luck

Hey P0ntif!

How's the oc' going?

Been outta town or woulda replied sooner. ƒ~ƒ‹ƒN•² gave good info.

If fsb bus speeds are limited too much in your bios, you may need to update. Very important not to jump up too fast with the fsb, by the way, since you might have trouble getting back into bios without cmos reset.
