Does anyone know when the new P3's will be out? Is it true that they will have a 200 or 266 mhz fsb?

You mean the DDR bus for the P3s??.. I have never heard such thing coming out for the P3s.. I doubt it. Where did you hear that from?

I have no clue where I heard that, I believe that I read it in somewhere awhile back. I read a few posts regarding the new p3-t's and wasn't sure if they were actually going to move to a faster bus to compete with amd or not.
I'd still like to know when the new P3's are coming out if anyone knows. They probably won't have a faster bus, I probably got my articles confused. Oh well...I never said I wasn't an idiot. =]

This looks messy, thank god I don't plan on upgrading until year end, I might be scared by that $500+ price tag. At current rates (of decay), the 2ghz will be $49.99 by time I get to it!

Anyone know if those Tualatin chips will run on current CuMine capable mobos? Is it just a die-shrink or something more more devious?

I know Intel announced an update for the 815E chipset to provide it with the lower voltages the chip will need.
I forgot the name but believe it was going to be the 815ET or was it EX? I read it somewhere but I don't remember...
I don't think the new chip will run in current mobos

The new die shrunk PIII'S will be .13 micron down fromt he current .18 micron. They will eventually support high fsb ram. Unfortunately they WILL NOT run on current coppermine boards. U need a new chipset. I have a link with the intel roadmap, it will answer most if not all questions u have.

Here it is. Go to the "Future of PIII's" in the index at the bottom to skip to the part that we are talking about.
