View Full Version : HELP NEEDED FOR PROBLEM WITH P-III 550

I have a m\b QDI 1S with a CEL400mhz and i decited to upgrade it,so i found a P-III 550 and i installed it,but nothing...it doesnt work.My m\b is set to auto fsb,my pc
starts,it see the new cpu,it lists all my devices,hd,cd,
floppy,memory,....it also lists my devices irq's and
when it writes the line " veryfing dmi........." stacks there
What is wrong?,what can i do?please somebody help me.

check the vcore seting and make sureyou have good colling(im not sure how a celly hs/f will hold up to a pIII.)
o ps: welcome to the fourm!

You might go to QDI's web site and make sure that your mainboard is P3E compatible. You may need to update the Bios.
