CPU Stepping??????????

I see you guys and gals talk about stepping and 1 being better than the other! Being a relative newbie and soon to be in the market for a 1 Ghz. PIII I am very curious for a link or explanation on the meaning of this talk! Thanks

The stepping is the revision of the cpu.
The cBO is the older stepping and generally has a max core speed of around 1050.
The cC0 is the newer stepping and has a max core speed of around1200.
The cD0 is the newest just released stepping no idea what this is capable of yet.
Every cpu is different thou so a cpu is only guaranteed to do what it is sold as and 1 cCO may not do as well as another cC0.
