pump gonna do it?

got a pump question,

i ordered a eheim 1048
and i wonder how far i can push the water?
i want to push it about 5 feet or so to the
i want to put the RAD,PUMP and REZ about 5 feet away from the waterblock then return about 5 feet
meaning i dont want to put the setup in the case
is this possible? will the pump push it that far(easily)

the return will be easy because the return is down hill but the pump will have to push up^
then the down will be taken care of without a probthe water pressure and gravity will do that
i am using 1/2 tubing

i will put it all in the case if i have to, but i am looking for alternatives

I would have to says yes it will do it but your GPH is going to be hurting. I would say stick the pump in your case and use a T-line instead of a res. You could do a PVC res on the back of your case with the barbs coming in the back.


PS just checked and the Eheim 1048 has a delivery head of 4 feet.
