I know the recommendation has always been to set your agp ape. size the same as your graphics card on mem size, but with the increased onboard memory amount it cant be right? I mean I would figure the more graphics mem. you have the lower you can now set the agp size? I have a 9800xt pro 256 card with 512 of system ram any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
You just have to experiment with your own settings and performance. In my experience, every single system reacts differently to different Aperature sizes
128 seems to work the best for me, and most people..
Of course this is just a general estimate to set it to if you're too lazy, however I highly suggest that you test to see which is the best, as Evnas has said.

from what i have read most people dont seem to really notice that much of a difference when they do change it.
Test both 128 and 256 in 3dmark01 or '03 and you'll see the difference.
i thought it didnt actualy even come into play until the graphics memory was overburdoned? and for a 256 i dont think thats even possible yet right?
