I cannot succed to O/C @ 133, and the steps are 100, 103, 112, &133.
Pity. I'd like to run @ 124...
SoftFSB is of no help...
Thanks.

When I saw this title I was geared up to give an explanation of the clock gen chip etc.. but after reading I think you may be in luck. I also have a bios that doesn't present the 124mhz fsb but my clock gen is capable of it and using softfsb I can set it, I will send you softfsb if you want but be warned some anti virus packages say there is an unknown virus in it which I will say there isn't as I have used it for ages and had no problems.

what do you do if you're mobo isn't listed nor your PLL? Can you still use the program?

before I realised it listed my clock gen I just used to select a board with the bx chip, it detects via the smbus your clock gen and lists the available options, as long as you select something similar to your board.

the utility can be downloaded at www.tweakfiles.com

I don't know my clock generator AX6bc ( not type R), how can I find this out and use the program?

Just d/l a prog called Cpufsb. Yer mobo IS supported with this prog. It can also be found at Tweakfiles :)

I have never had any success with cpufsb, I've used several versions and they either crash my comp or just don't change the fsb. to find out your clock gen you can look for it on the motherboard. It is either near the agp slot, in the top right corner or inbetween the cpu and ram, it will have a silver chip next to it, which is the quartz crystal

Both softFSB and CPUFSB supports AX6BC, but they cannot provide FSB steps , that are not in the clock gen.
I give up...
Anyway thanks.

Hey zulu, I just checked the Cpufsb I have and the Aopen AX6BC has FSB options 100, 103, 112, 117, 124, 129, 133, 138, 143, 148 and 153. Unless you were wrong about the board. The AX6B only has the limited FSB options.

The software fsb program can't offer option not abailable on the clock gen but the bios doesn't always present all the options, for example my bios offers all the options below 100mhz but above 100mhz the 124mhz, 140mhz and 150mhz options aren't visable but are supported and can be set in softfsb, as I already mentioned cpufsb has not worked properly on my board even though it is listed, and I have always found softfsb very straight forward and simple so I use that if the need arrises..

Thanks to both of you , but either SoftFSB and CPUfsb, cannot help. Two programms detect MoBo correctly and work fine with default frequencies - 100, 112, 133. The matter is, that, when i put 117 it sets 524 MHZ, when 124 - 581. I don't know why...
It seems that they are not able to add speeds, besides those, already present...
It was a pleasure to participate in the forum, where people are so empathic...

Well, I looked at my MOBO and found that the clock generator is : 48s1111-14g. If you put this at soft FSB or cpufsb it shows only 3 speeds: 100, 112, 133. Game over...

After much checking around it seems that board while supposedly the same version has been manufactured with at least 2 different PLL IC's. I'm sorry. The info I was relaying was for the Cypress W164. I'll need to be more inquisative in the future :(
