P4P800 onboard Fire Wire problems ????

When I am transfering digital video thru the firewire, it starts and stops, (hesitates) during transfer. This is also seen when I make the final copy.
Installed an extra PCI firewire card I had and it seems fine.
Any ideas?

I've read numerous complains about this happening with the onboard firewire of the deluxe versions of both P4P- and P4C800 boards. Anybody who added a PCI adapter was fine...so it seems to be fairly typical.

might wanna try updating bios and driver...
