noo....the only thing that will barely afect it is if v-sync is on. vsync makes the video card cap the fps rate at the refresh rate, and if u turn vsync off, u should be getting the same fps rate with a crt and lcd, this is so becuase lcd's gerneally have a much lower refresh rate than crt's so if vsync was on, a crt would be getting a higher fps rate...

LCD doesnt effect your FPS at all - but it does effect your ability to display them - 99% of LCDs doesnt refresh fast enough to display most shooters quickly enough to play them at a competitive level.

Technically CRTs can *display* more FPS than any LCD, but even that depends on resolution, refresh rate, and performance of your video card/system.

The only thing you have to worry about when gaming on an LCD is ghosting. I'll leave that topic up to other posters ;)

LCD's usally run an 60Hz, meaning that regardless of the fps your gpu is feeding the monitor, you'll see no more than the refresh rate will allow..

CRT's generally have a substantially higher refresh rate...
