Hey all, i just reformatted my computer and i tried updating windows. so i go to the windows update website and it tells me that a new "windows update software" is required to be installed. so i click on the "update now" button, but when i click on it, it doesnt do anything. i tried closing the window and accessing the website again but still no luck. i dont know what is wrong. my copy of windows XP pro has SP1 built into it already but before i never had this problem. any ideas would help thanks.

Make sure that your computers clock and date are set correctly they must be within two years of today.

You're using IE right? Not Netscape or Mozilla or Opera or something else.
