I really have no idea, I've looked and looked but its so confusing!

Some say LeadTek make the best 5950 but the Creative 3D Blaster 5 GeForce FX 5950 Ultra is said to be better, who really makes the best?

With ATI, the Asus ATI Radeon 9800XT/TVD 256MB Limited Edition looks fantastic but again the Creative ATI Radeon 9800XT 256MB is said to be yet better?

Little help please? :(

Thanks.

Pretty much all of the 9800xt's are made very closely to ati's spec, so you wont see much variation between them.

Doesn't the Tyan Radeon's come with the software you need to overclock it? I know their 9700 Pro and 9500 Pro did.

Aside from that Yuriman is right. The era of real performance differences between Hercules and Creative are long gone. Everyone is making reference designs today and using reference drivers. The best you can hope for is a card that has faster memory than the reference spec calls for, but even that is getting hard to find. The last time I saw it was on a GF4 Ti4200.

Also, at this time you should seriously consider holding out for the next-gen VPU's. Both nVidia and ATI have brand new video processors that will ship in the next 90-120 days. (The ATI R400 cards might ship in the next 60 days, reports two weeks ago said they had final reference designs out to their launch customers.) The price is going to be about the same as a top 9800 XT/5950 Ultra, but the performance is going to be notably better.
