Hello, I'm having a bit of a problem getting FAH to work on this computer. I used the one click install last night to install FAH. I looked at the log to see if everything was ok, and it was not. It contained the following:
[13:23:09] + Requesting User ID from server
[13:23:09] - Couldn't send HTTP request to server
[13:23:09] + Could not connect to Primary Assignment Server for ID
[13:23:10] - Couldn't send HTTP request to server
[13:23:10] + Could not connect to Secondary Assignment Server for ID
[13:23:10]
+ Could not get ID from server. Retrying...

Over and over. I figured it was a server problem, but it's still doing the same thing this afternoon. The internet does work, I'm using it now. FAH can go out over this connection becasue another computer has no problem with it. I don't really have any ideas on how to fix this because I don't know what's causing it. Anyone have any suggestions?

Stop the service. Go into the folding directory. Start the client manually and see if it does the same thing.

I'd remove all the files in that directory, then get a fresh FAH4Console.exe and run it manually from that directory. Then configure it, but close it before it gets a core.

Then restart the service.

I got it working. Turns out when my friend prevented ZoneAlarm from starting via msconfig, one of it's programs, vsmon, was still starting. It was still firewalling. So after disableing ZA the correct way, which I told him to do the first time, all the stange network problems with FAH and other programs went away! Another 3.06 Ghz for me. :)
