new egg add says its 266mhz and other sites ive seen them on are saying 333mhz.. so does anyone know which on it really is?

i've seen many many sites w/ the mobile, and it's about half/half, half say 266, half say 333, im betting on the 266

Its 266. I really doesn't matter though. The mulis are unlocked. You can make it whatever you want.

well i really needed to know.. im getting one for myself and a friend and his board and memory will only allow him to hit about 172 fsb..right now he has a regular 2500 barton and i think it is locked because we cant change the multies on it..so if it is factory at 266 it will allow him atleast to get the fsb to 333 and that will give him a decent o/c and wont have to sacrifice the 512 l2 cache..as for me im buying a new board,sata hard drive,memory, and the mobile barton...

The XP-M2500+ defaults to 266 and it's unlocked, so you can configure the FSB and the multiplier in any way you choose.

If you're going to spend $95 on the 2500 Mobile, I'd suggest you sell the existing mobo and buy a board that will utilize the full potential of the chip. My 2 cents anyway...
