Which is better? The E just had 1MB L2 instead of 512 like the C... is that the only difference? Is it a BIG difference, considering the E is only about $3 more than the C?

the E is slower, believe it or not also it generates more heat then the C. So its your call I would go with the C. Wont overclock nicely though.
I have a 2.4C, 2.8C, and 2.8E... here are my comparisons and results...

yea they are fine. the E's are presscotts and run very hot, and suck so many amps the voltage regulartos for the cpu get very hot. just stick with a C chip, they are intels best for now.

sorry but the last few posts I read were mainly complaining about the poor overclocking ability of the 2.8c's.
