how do i get the old HS off a p3 slot 1

Take off the fan then take a case screw from the pc and put it on a table with the pointy side up.
Now take the p3 and put the non heatsink side over the screw so that one of the four holes line up.
Push down on the cpu until you feel the pin pop.
Repeat for the other 3 holes.
Pull the plastic pins out from the back.
They are attached in pairs buy a plastic band.
