How bad is it? Of course, it depends if the system is AMD or Intel, but in general, is generic RAM that bad?
My DDR400 runs at 144 MHz with 2-2-2-5 timings. SPD says it runs at CAS3 for 200 MHz, so that's slower than CAS2, but it doesn't hurt performance by more than 5% if I was running FSB400, does it?
