Allright this post has nothing to do with removing the Heatsink off the CPU, The heatsink is stuck on the CPU, and I dont care about that, all I care is removing the entire CPU and Heatsink alltogether, so I can put in a SLOT 1 adapter 370 (I love the 370, so much easier).
I need a step by step instruction so I dont end up messing the stuff outta by P2 350, since I still want to keep it as backup if something ever goes wrong with my new CPU (Slot 370 P3 700E).
Now I understand when you put in the Slot 1 CPU in, it locks up as you push downward to the SLOT of the mobo (as written on the mobo manual). so how exactly do I get it out if it gets locked?
Also, what happens to the retension Mechanism? I mean, once I put in the Slot 1 adapter, it cannot fit to the Slot 1 adapter since its not in a SEC Cartridge, and wont that make the Slot 1 adapter more likely to just fall off since the CPU Fan will put a lot of weight to it?
Sorry for the lack of info, but the Slot 1 is really a pain in the ass, I wonder why some ppl still like using Slot 1 CPU with than getting a Slot 370, which is very simple to mess with.
