can i put drivers onto a windows 98 cd so that when it installs the drivers that are correct are already installed instead of running all the driver setups? my GF is buying a used laptop and i knw this will help her out a lot if it crashes and im not able to help her fix it.

thanks guys

hey altecXP how abt custome image to the notebook computer by using Pwer quest drive image or norton ghost. You can install fresh copy of windows and install all the drivers then make a image of that hdd to a cd using a thirdh party iamge software. that is the easiest thing i'll see to your problem. If u want ytou can write a script to automate the process so when u put that cd it'll fdisk and create the partion and install the o/s along with all the apps u want it to be with:D

if ya need to know more info abt it let us kow.

The best thing to do is to format the partition that will have win98SE. Copy all files in the /cabs folder to any folder you want on the hard drive. Then, install windows from the hard drive files you just copied. It will never ask you for windows CABs again. As far as the drivers go.....hmm.
