looking for a few good games

Thinking about picking up a couple new games. What's new and exciting in the world of single player action packed shoot 'em uppers with great graphics?

Need something to tide me over until Half Life 2 is released (any word of that yet?). I've played the Farcry demo and that's on my wanted list, but I need something that is available now.

What's worthy of my hard earned bucks? I love stuff like MOHAA, Max Payne, Black Hawk Down, Half Life, Quake, Halo, Unreal 2, Wolfenstein, and Serious Sam to give you an idea what I'm after.

One game that is very high on my list is Call of Duty. Any other suggestions?

Can't go wrong with Call of Duty. I know it's not necessarily strictly single player, but have you tried BF1942??? That's probably one of the best fps games out right now, imo.

Were you asking for good single play games? Not only FPS?

Hitman 2 (if you get retail Audigy 2 from creativelabs, you'll find Hitman 2 and SOF2 in the package) Hitman 2 is great. SOF2 isn't bad, but I was trapped without knowing which way to go in the first level and I gave up lol. Multiplay of SOF2 is pretty good too.

PC version of Resident Evil series? lol (myself never enjoy creepy single game play like these, too scary for me, but the story is great.)

PC version of Dino Crisis 1 and 2 (great graphic, you can get them for only $14 each)

Call of Duty single play is great, but not it's pretty short.

I also know a few great graphic & great missions FPS WWII single play games of some big Asian campaign, but they are only available in Asia at this moment.

Cant go wrong with the ut2k4 demo, I cant get enough of it.

He was asking for current available games. :) Not Demo. Besides the Demo only has 1 map on each different type of game play, getting boring pretty fast with only 1 map.

I'll check out the reviews on Hitman 2 and Resident Evil (maybe download the demos if available to see if I like them). Dino Crisis? Never heard of it, I'll look that up too. I already have SOF2 and it was quite good. Call of Duty is a no brainer, I will get that game. Thanks for the suggestions... anymore?

Read my first post and download every movie I provided, you'll get a good idea what the game is like. I am so interested in the stories of Resident Evil series. Dino Crisis is made by Capcom too. You can find the demo of Dino Crisis 1 at fileplanet.com. Dino Crisis 2 openning movie is so cool. It was available for downloading somewhere. Couldn't find it any more. Interesting stories as well. If you have time to read, I'll write a little about the stories lol.

Both Dino Crisis 1 and 2 have great graphic, very realistic. The story is very interesting.

Both Resident Evil series and Dino Crisis series are third person shooter single games. There will be a Resident Evil online out where tons of people can play together inside Reccoon City, around the story time line of RE 2 and 3.

I just thought about, if you were interested in Half-Life single play, then you probably will like Opposite Force if you haven't tried it yet. It's a part of Stream now. I tried it a while ago. In Half-Life single play you play as Freeman. In Opposite Force, you play as one of the marine soldiers. I thought Freeman's life was hard, he was haunted by not only allies monsters, but also being chased by the marine boys. After tried Opposite force, now I know the marine boys had a hard time too. They were first sent in for rescue mission. Then plan was changed. They were also being haunted by some government special force soldiers who are on one top secret mission that can't be made public.
