Does any one know if the Kingston KVR400 (pc3200) is any good?

They have it on sale for $69 for a 2X256 kit (With a rebate) by mail so I can't "Look" at it :( :(

It depends what chips are on it. Lately they have been putting alot of Hynix BT-D43 chips on their PC-3200 Value-RAM. This stuff is good for Intel and high FSB, but not always so hot for AMD set-ups.

But for $69 (2x256MB) it's a good deal.

I thought BT-D43 was GOOD?? Why is it " not so hot" for AMD systems?

I plan to use it in the sig. system #2.

Thanks

the d43 stuff really starts at 250+ with loose timings so unless ur fsb runs that high you'd probably be better off with kingston bh6. plus some of the older nforce ddr333 boards seem to have some conficts with it. (although the d43 that ive tested seems to run up to about 220 w/2-3-3-5 timings which isnt bad...)
