AIW problem?

right i have one of the 256bit AIW 9800SEs it's a great card apart from the fact if i update the drivers i lose the TV function (the only reason i got this card (it won't softmod)) first time i run it it doesn't give me the tuning options. then after a restart TV is listed as video in on ATI launchpad. i really want to use the tuner and not just VIVO functions.

Has anyone else suffered this problem or similar is the card slightly borked?
(have used TV but only on fresh install of XP)

which drivers are you having problems with ? and you are using the AIW drivers right?
and i didnt know they made an AIW 9800se

im currently using 6.14.10.6374 (the cats that came with the card)
card is a OEM 9800SE AIW not sure who its made by i think it's ati but it's not officially on their site.
(should have curbed my impulse and bought a retail herc!)
tried 4.1 omega and 4.2 omega and 4.2 cat
i assume i've installed everything needed driver tv cap and control panel
if i've made a bonehead mistake please set me straight haven't had a AIW before so this is new to me

right was getting everything together to rma this card. looked on the net for anouther herc review then found This (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?amp;displaylang=en&familyid=8DFD1B6D-E177-4A0E-91D0-B4310675B02B&displaylang=en).
it was a problem with my PAL tuner and directX 9b
restarted and clicked on TV and it gave me a wizard to scan for channels so far it seams to be working

i have that card m8 and i had to download a direct x 9 patch for the tv to work.

i also found that people in the uk are having probs with scanning for channels and only getting static. i used fast search and cable this resulted in the problem being fixed.
apparently changing your country to Norfolk Isles works too.
