I tried to install the mini PCI Card in an Asus barebone notebook. However, there is a 2 cables from the notebook to be connected to the pci card.
The problem is that there is no manual for this. One cable is black and the other is white.
Any body have some experience with this?
what is gonna if we connect the wrong cable?

thank you.

I believe those two are antenna wires. I don't think you'll have any problems, but you might want to google search for the model laptop you're working on, and antenna ..?

I know I'm no help.

What kind of device ya tring t install to the laptop? is it a mini pci modem card or lan card or a wireless lan card? if it is a wireless lan card then the black and white cable won't be matter to which one is connecting. But some earlier cards must be connected with the right color to the righ connector. So have a close look at the conectors near the lan card to see weither any letters like a b or w? so then ya know it is black wire or white wire connecting over there. Hope this will fix your problem. BTW way there should be a detaqils manual to be received to you but seems like u didn't get it. did u received any software cd's? mabye you'll find a manual in there in acrobat or html format:)

I did mine a few days ago myself. Made no difference which one I snapped em onto. Working great.
