Hey guys, I have my system running stable at 1.83ghz (stock)

barton 2500 11.5x166
Memory running Syncronous at 333mhz

Basically, my barton is locked, I can't change the multiplier or the BIOS hangs. If I change the FSB to 200mhz, it will post, load windows the just shortly after I will get a Blue Screen of Death.

Error varies, this one was something was trying to write to a read only memory ect. Physical memory dump ect.

I have run Memtest86+

No errors.

Any suggestions. I don't really care about getting high overclocks. I mainly just wanted to run my memory at 400mhz. System specs are below.

Try upping your voltage? System fairly cool? Try running Prime95 at stock speed and see if it encounters any problems.

Yes, run Prime95 at stock speeds. Then bump the fsb by five and run Prime95 again. Continue bumping by five until you get an error. You should have no problem running at 200 fsb even if the CPU is locked.

thanks for the input, I am starting to wonder if the hard drive is the culprit. When i get these error (like i was before) the hard drive makes a funny noise, and i did have problems with getting the hard drive installed in the begining. I went back to best buy and exchanged the hard drive. I hope this fixes the windows error problems. I also ran memtest86+ last night, no errors. So I know its not the memory.

Increase voltage, on the vcore? At what point do you need to up your vcore? and in what incriments?
