Hey guys, have a couple general questions on overclocking. I have a barton 2500+ Abit AN7, corsair xms PC3200

The bios will let me change the multiplier so i assume my barton is unlocked. If I try to go to 200fsb with lower multiplier, or 200fsb with default multiplier, windows will load but I will get blue screens of death that read on of the following message along with physical memory dump

Windows has encountered an error and was shut down to protect your computer.

a. IRQ NOT LESS EQUAL TO

b. PAGE FAULT WRITING TO PAGEFILE.SYS

c. PROGRAM FAILED WRITING TO READ ONLY MEMORY

If I leave everything at stock, i will still get these once in a while.

I ran memtest86+ and no memory errors

At what point in OC do you raise mem and cpu voltages, and at what incriments?

it sounds as though you don't have your pci/agp locked in the bios. i had that happen to me a TON trying for extra mhz on my a7v266-c. no agp/pci lock = corrupt hd's amongst other probs.

hmm good thought, where would i find the lock options for PCI/AGP, i.e. what wording and what options would i want.
