How do you add and remove things from the startup i need to remove some things but cant find it?

type msconfig at the run prompt

Then go to the startup tab and deselect things. You can easily uncheck things such as real, quicktime, etc, but make sure you leave all virus scanners and firewalls enabled. Also, if you use MS office...I've noticed it much faster to enable the Microsoft Office was as well...increases startup of the applications.
