ok i have a VERY bizarre problem. When i plug in this (http://www.sandisk.com/retail_cruzermini.html) thumbdrive, i get an error about the device malfunctioning.
back panel mobo usb + thumbdrive = works
add on usb pci card (uses internal headers) + thumdrive = works
front mount ports (uses internal headers) + belkin bluetooth dongle = works
front mount ports (uses internal headers) + thumdrive = NOT WORKING.
this (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&Section_Id=200583&pcount=&Product_Id=126336) is the bluetooth dongle i'm using.
as you can see, all the components work in atleast one of these situations. so its' some sort of compatiblity issue i believe... only thing i can think of is the front mounted ports and bluetooth adapter are only usb 1.1, so maybe the thumbdrive is having problems running in 1.1?? it says it's backwards compatible...
