I've had my 2.4c SL6Z3 sitting on my desk for like 2 months now. Just ordered a P4C800-E last night. So I unpacked my 2.4c. And I noticed that the Stock HSF had a TIM on it. I removed it and lap'd the HSF down (I've never believed in TIM's). Now my only question is, When applying AS Do I cover the entire surface area of the 2.4. The only reason I ask is because of the hole in the IHS. In short, is it okay if AS gets in there?

Yes the whole surface, it's no problem when some AS gets in the hole of the heat spreader.

Arctic Silver offers detailed instructions on their website as well. Note that AS5 has a different application procedure.
