I saw a cheap used epox 8rda+ for only 23 british pounds at ebuyer (british store) so i snapped it up, its just arrived, the box is in bits, its more like a peice of card wrapped around the mobo, anyway, a nice new shiny graphics card popped out of it :D but i dont know what it is, it says radeon 9800 on the sticker but i checked the part number which says its 9800 pro, im guessing thats a mistake but how can i tell for sure? it has 3.0ns memory which is the same as my 9700pro, so i guess its just 9800, any ideas?
It's a 9800 Non-Pro, probably with 3.0ns Infineon. Still should clock very well; not too far off from what a Pro could do, but probably not much better than what your 9700Pro can do. But, I'd say you should probably send it back...getting a 9800 with a mobo isn't exactly like getting IDE cables...
Definatly a non-Pro...if it doesnt have at least 2.8ns ram, its not a Pro, garaunteed :)
But thats a nice little find ya got there

haha i'd do it too"keep it;)" :) they have people thatare supposed to make sure everything on the list is in the box, nothing more :P so its their loss, i'd say :)
Sell it on ebay. They shipped it to you, so you have no obligation to ship it back.
By the way, it might be a 9800se. Did you check to make sure the PCB layout is the same as of a 9800pro, and not of a 9700 or 9500pro?
I'd keep it. Call me an ass if you want, but its not my job to correct anothers mistakes. And if I owned a business and made a mistake like that, I wouldnt expect it back, nor would I ask. I made a mistake, my fault, I live with it.

sounds great, I remember a few years ago when my mate ordered a few things from DABS he ended up getting more than he bargained for, i think he only ordered 256MB of memory and he got a GeForce2 MX a 16xDVD drive and a few case fans. I remember on the invoice it was labelled "Steve's Upgrade 2" lmao, steve never got his upgrade :D:D:D
I'd keep it. Good find. :)
If your conscience is getting to I guess I will bite the bullet and pay for you to ship it to me.
Anything to help out an OCer. :D
